Burning the one word wishes
Friday March 21st we had our equinox celebration at the Qi Center where together with many practitioners, friends and family we received the change in spring and celebrated the Qi with lecture, one word meditation to focus our intention and the burning of our written word on paper in our ceremonial fire pit sending our wishes up to the sky, beautifully guided by our master teacher Thomas Droge, on a special visit from Bolder Colorado to teach and share about the change in the seasons. Then we called it a night until the next day anticipated workshop.
Saturday March 22nd slowly waking as expected in the weekend, we had our morning coffee then packed few things and drove in from Brooklyn to Manhattan to the Qi Center preparing the ground for the workshop.
People started rolling in by 9:30am just as we completed the setup of the cookies and the tea and notebooks to welcome the people into the zone of the Qi and set the comfortable feeling of our community and the motion of slow is the fast way
Full house sold out event, Thomas starts with a random bounce of everyone sharing their name and a single word representing the energy they bring into the workshop.
Then we meditate we shake the Qi whole body practice and we dive into the season practices from the deep dark of Winter to the promises of Spring creativity and flexibility on to the playfulness warmth of Summer open heart and then to start the end of the cycle and the planting of the seeds of the Autumn falling leaves and winds of the envdable end of the cycle in death and the grief only to be born again in cycles.
Six whole hours of humanity journey into the depth of the seasons and the possibility in the changes as we sense the opportunities that comes with every change an end or as the winds blows stories in the trees and streets of new york city if only we are available to listen and receive the love as it is given to us in everything and from everyone.

The workshop ended the high of open hearts and expansion of the awareness was with us as we went home for soul food dinner and the warmth of the loving family and friends telling stories around our wooden dinner table sharing the love of life.
